Data takedown + correction
Last updated: 2026-04-29
We aim to keep WealthManagement.sg accurate, up-to-date, and respectful of individual privacy. If you believe content about you or your firm is inaccurate, out-of-date, defamatory, or otherwise should be removed or corrected, this page explains how to make a request.
48-hour first-response SLA
We commit to acknowledging every legitimate take-down or correction request within 48 hours of receipt, and to acting on it within 14 days where the request is well-founded.
Your rights under the PDPA
- Access (PDPA s21) — request a copy of personal data we hold about you;
- Correction (PDPA s22) — request correction of factual errors;
- Withdrawal of consent (PDPA s16) — withdraw any consent you previously gave for processing;
- Removal — for advisor records published in reliance on the public-availability exception (Second Schedule), request removal where appropriate.
How to submit a request
Email us at info@wealthmanagement.sg with:
- The exact URL(s) of the page(s) on this Site that contain the content;
- The specific content you want corrected or removed (quote the relevant text or describe it precisely);
- The basis for your request (e.g. "this is wrong because…", "I am the named individual and request removal under PDPA s16", "I am authorised to act on behalf of [firm name]");
- Your contact details so we can verify and respond;
- Proof of identity, where appropriate (so we can confirm the request is legitimately yours).
What we will do
- Acknowledge your request within 48 hours;
- Verify the request and your identity;
- Where the request is well-founded — correct the data, remove the data, or document why we are unable to (e.g. data is required by law to remain published);
- Respond with the outcome within 14 days. Complex requests may take longer; we will keep you informed.
When we may decline
We may decline a take-down request where:
- The information is published by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, ACRA, or another Singapore regulatory authority and we are merely mirroring the public position;
- The request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (e.g. repeated requests for the same content);
- Removal would impair a legitimate public-interest journalistic or research function;
- Retention is required by Singapore law.
Where we decline, we will explain why and offer alternatives (e.g. correction with a verifiable update, or annotation with the disputed status).
Escalation
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at pdpc.gov.sg. The PDPC accepts complaints under the PDPA and can investigate, mediate, and direct remedial action.
For firms
If you are an authorised representative of a firm listed in our directory and want to claim or correct your firm's profile, see the firms directory for the "Claim profile" CTA on each firm page, or email claims@wealthmanagement.sg.
